Beck’s has launched a new premium beer, Beck’s Sapphire, a 6% ABV golden pilsner beer.
Presented in a stylish black bottle, sure to be a hit with young and trendy men, the new Beck’s Sapphire beer is made with German Saphir hops and is said to be inspired by sapphire gemstones.
Beck’s Sapphire is designed for special occasions and will likely come with a price to match. This development continues a trend in the premium beer market, positioning the drinks beyond the traditional price of larger and more in line with celebratory drinks like wine – such as Estrella’s Inedit beer.
German Saphir hops are generally used as a finishing hop, used to give the beer a rich aroma. Using German Saphir hops gives Beck’s Sapphire its smooth finish, which will appeal to the clientèle of high-end clubs, bars and restaurants.
Speaking about the launch of Becks Sapphire, Paul Chibe, Vice President, U.S. Marketing, Anheuser-Busch, said: “Beck’s Sapphire continues and builds the great brewing tradition of the Beck’s brand.
“Brewing with rare Saphir hops gives Beck’s Sapphire an incredibly delicious taste that will make you think differently about Beck’s.”
Beck’s Sapphire is available in the US.
