Heineken has celebrated the launch of its new-look Star bottle with an advert called Deja Vu.
Originally launched in 2011, it has taken the new Star bottle some time to hit America, with many of the original recipients of the new bottle featured in the advert.
Created by Wieden+Kennedy New York, and directed by Rupert Sanders, the Heieneken Deja Vu advert is filmed in the same retro styling as Heineken’s recent series of television adverts with the main protagonist suited, booted and enjoying a jet-setting lifestyle with his favourite beer.
Speaking about the advert, and the Heineken bottle making its way to yet another destination, Colin Westcott-Pitt, Vice President at Heineken, said: “This spot marks a pivotal milestone for the Heineken brand, as we build on the success of the ‘Legends’ advertising campaign and officially introduce the U.S. to our new Star Bottle. Our priority is to ‘break the mould’ in beer marketing with cinematic, sophisticated ads that feature our ‘Man of the World,’ a progressive, cultured guy, who is inventive in any situation.”
