Jack Daniel’s Single Barrel will be joining forces with The Old Vic for their Celebrity Gala for a second year.
The Old Vic has launched an exciting new direction for the 24 Hour Plays Celebrity Gala; for the first time ever, known as The 24 Hour Musicals. Just as each 24 Hour Musical will showcase unique theatrical and musical material, written, produced and performed once and once only, so every barrel of Jack Daniel’s Single Barrel tells its own unique story…
Some barrels of Jack Daniel’s are given the chance to rise above the rest, literally. The select few lie in the upper reaches of our barrelhouses, where the temperature swings are at their most extreme. With each passing season, the whiskey works its way in and out of the barrels’ oak staves, drawing more and more flavour from the wood – a rich, robust whiskey emerges with a distinctive dark amber colour. Every barrel is bottled individually, with each bottle bearing a neckband stating its rick and barrel number. Each barrel of Jack Daniel’s Single Barrel has its own individual character and no two barrels will taste the same.
To mark the meeting of these two unique experiences, Jack Daniel’s has created a fittingly named cocktail The Curtain Raiser, developed in Tennessee for theatre fans in London to sip and savour:
Jack Daniel’s Single Barrel will be served at The 24 Hour Musicals Celebrity Gala, which takes place on 9th December 2012 to raise funds for The Old Vic Theatre Trust. Some of the world’s most accomplished and renowned actors will gather to take on, what must be their toughest job yet.
