Johnnie Walker whisky has added a new blend to its limited edition Explorer’s Club Collection.
The collection, which is scheduled to be a three-part series, will see blends of Johnnie Walker Explorers Club released over the next few months into the travel retail section only – rewarding those with a pioneering spirit with a pioneering spirit.
Initially launched 90 years ago, the Johnnie Walker Explorers Club Collection harks back to a piece of the brands history, the 1920s, at which time Johnnie Walker had been taken to more than 120 countries worldwide, inspiring the distillery to create new blends to take to new markets.
Today’s collection will initially see three variants released, beginning with The Spice Road, which will be launched in December and will retail for $43 per litre. Following that, Johnnie Walker The Gold Route will be released during February/March costing $95 per litre, and then the final instalment Johnnie Walker The Royal Route will be available in May/June for $159 per litre bottle.
Fans of Johnnie Walker whisky will note that the price does not reflect the age of the whisky, but it does indicate how rare these limited editions will be.
