Scotch whisky brand anCnoc has enlisted the help of world-famous illustrator Peter Arkle to work on its packaging as part of a limited edition run that will go on sale soon.
In a 16-minute video available on YouTube, Scotland-born Arkle takes customers through his journey of creation, showing the surrounding area, the distillery and the things that inspired him to design the packaging the way it was made.
The video not only champions Arkle, his talents and his process, it also highlights the very traditional nature of the anCnoc whisky brand and gives us all an insight into the traditions and origin of the drink.
Speaking about the anCnoc scotch whisky project, Arkle said: “My dream job was to design a whisky bottle, something I mentioned less than a fortnight before anCnoc contacted me, and sitting in the dusky warehouses at Knockdhu I knew I was on to something special.
“When I returned to New York my ideas took on a life of their own – and I’m both proud and pleased to see the results.”
Just 1000 cases of the Peter Arkle designed anCnoc scotch whisky will be released, only 200 of which will be made available in the UK. The rest will be distributed in the US, Sweden and a select number of other European countries.
