A second Red Stripe video has gone live, featuring work from Scottish artist, Spaceboy.
The latest installation was put together at Newhaven Harbour in Edinburgh as part of Red Stripe lager’s ‘Make with a Red Stripe’ campaign, which celebrates artistry and tries to challenge the creativity of its drinkers.
Using stop motion animation techniques, the illustrations by Spaceboy were brought to life thanks to help from Blac Ionica and students from the Edinburgh College of Art who helped with the process.
According to Spaceboy, inspiration for the piece came from 1970′s Jamaican music, where the lack of boundaries imposed on artists helped to build a new generation of sounds.
Spaceboy’s work for Red Stripe follows an outdoor installation put together by Filthy Luker, where a giant Space Invaders game was placed on the side of Manchester’s Town Hall.
