Bulmers cider is set to celebrate 125 years of business with a special product launch in the UK, following its announcement of Bulmers Vintage Reserve.
Sanjay Patel, Brands Director- Ciders at Heineken in the UK, said: “Bulmers Vintage Reserve is a tribute to the rich cider making heritage of HP Bulmer and the passion and innovation that has kept the Bulmers name at the forefront of the cider market since 1887 when 20-year-old Percy Bulmer first began making cider using apples from the orchard at his father’s Herefordshire rectory.
“125 years later, innovation is more vital than ever to the success of the cider category and we are proud to add Vintage Reserve to the Bulmers portfolio. Our Limited Edition and Bulmers Nº17 variants are great examples of genuine product innovation that drove the £20 million increase in sales enjoyed by packaged cider in the on-trade last year.”
Available in the UK throughout March in supermarkets and in bars, Bulmers Vintage Reserve is 5.5% ABV and is said to be made with the finest bittersweet apples available in Britain.
