
Continuing its theme of reinventing summery cocktails for the winter season, Bacardi Oakheart has taken yet another classic from the sun kissed beaches and turned it into a contemporary winter classic with the invention of the Crimbo Colada.
That’s right, if you’re a Pina Colada fan, you might very well enjoy this new winter variant which is great for cocktail parties or to wind down after a Sunday dinner.
By replacing coconut with Amaretto, the Crimbo Colada is not only a bit boozier (certainly appropriate for the time of year) it retains its nutty overtones, opting for a more complementary flavour to the spicy Bacardi Oakheart, which infuses with the fresh pineapple for a brilliantly balanced flavour with an unexpected mixture of charms.
Here is what you need to make your own:
Ingredients:
37.5mls Oak Heart
50mls Pineapple J
12.5mls Amaretto
Method:
Put all ingredients into a shaker, add ice, shake hard and strain into a flute.
