
The Mojito is a drink we only really ever associate with summer. Fresh and zingy, this sugary sweet drink infused with tangy lime and with a subtle minty after taste gives you a real refreshing buzz – which is why its one of our all-time favourites.
Thanks to the addition of Bacardi Oakheart, a spiced, rich rum, in addition to warming ginger beer, Bacardi believes that the Mojito can gain a new lease of life as a winter warmer, and having had our lips around a few of these we can see their point.
If you fancy mixing up a classic with a big twist, here’s how to make your own festive Mojito to celebrate with this Christmas – the Ho Ho Mojito, a new cocktail recipe by Bacardi Oakheart.
Ingredients:
50mls Oak Heart
2 t/s caster sugar
6/8 mint leaves
Squeeze of whole lime
Top with ginger beer
Method:
Put all ingredients into a highball glass (except soda) fill the glass 3/4 with crushed ice. Churn all ingredients together, top glass with ice, add a dash of soda.
