The Juice Burst fruit juice brand will be utilising the Blippar application it has been announced. Blippar, in case you didn’t know already, is an augmented reality app that recognises characteristics of certain products and brings them to life via a smartphone screen.
Prior to Blippar interactivity, Juice Burst have redesigned packaging to make it compatible with the app, which will also link in with Juice Burst’s social media pages.
When a Blippar activated smartphone is pointed at the new packaging, Blippar will make the design come to life. Each pack will have an image of a fruit, corresponding with the Juice Burst flavour, which will literally burst out of the packaging using the app.
Speaking about Juice Burst’s use of Blippar, Jon Evans, Marketing Director for Purity Soft Drinks, said: “We are extremely excited about bringing Blippar technology into the soft drinks sector. It’s something our core target audience, 18 to 24 year olds, know all about and use frequently via their smart phones. By completely overhauling our packaging and making it interactive we feel it will not only stand out on shelf and in-store but also create greater engagement with our consumers.”
