We haven’t seen them yet but fear not the Coca-Cola polar bears will be making an appearance in a series of television adverts during the festive season.
Scheduled for New Years Day programming, the adverts – which will be backed by a poster campaign and online activities – will include a 30 second advert and a special six minute piece.
The six minute version of the Coca-Cola polar bears advert has been produced by Hollywood filmmaker Ridley Scott and it is said will allow consumers to engage with the family of bears. This extended version will be available to view on YouTube and via Coca-Cola’s CokeZone website.
Speaking about the reemergence of the polar bears, Zoe Howorth, Coca-Cola’s Marketing Director, said: “We are excited to be bringing back a much-loved Coca-Cola icon this New Year. The animated polar bears epitomise the cheerful, heart-warming atmosphere that Coca-Cola is hoping to bring to many families this winter. The polar bears are a key part of Coke’s advertising heritage, appearing across much loved campaigns dating back 90 years.”
